Recent Albert: Banking on you Reviews
Excellent service until they started asking for a tip after every transaction and not providing a visible decline button. I’ve tipped several times when I didn’t want to. At least put a “no thanks” button or something. Update: they also arbitrarily change the amount you can advance. When you have lower income they encourage you do advance more; when your income increases then you’re authorized for less.
Junk! Still waiting for my money haven’t received anything and they have all my credentials. Gets to the complete page and the pad lock just spins. I don’t want to use them for direct deposit. It’s like they’re forcing you to use their direct deposit. Tried more then once to log in and same thing happens. Ive already completed all the steps. Been 3 hours. Don’t use if you’re desperate for money.
Pretty terrible anymore. Doesn’t work anymore. Had app for a long time worked great. Now it crashes when I click on anything. It no longer allows bank connections. Most of the to.be tells me I have no interest connected so I cant log in. Customer service has no idea why these things are happening and they never got back to me when sent to a higher power.. pretty bumbed its not working anymore.
Absolutely awful!! The “help center” is just a text service that takes forever to respond. They lock you in to a savings card in order for you to use their instant cash, which is a scam in itself because you have to make sure it’s completely empty before you close your account and they give you $10 but only if you pay them $66 for a year of their service! It’s awful for people trying to save money! Get another app!
Cool app. For some reason the instant cash advance amount that is advertised doesn’t apply to me…. I can only get a $25 advance, even though I make double what my girlfriend does and she can get a $350. I think there’s an issue with my direct deposit not being counted as an actual paycheck. Everything else seems fine though. Cool rewards
For almost a year I had an excellent time e with Albert. About to months ago I had an issue with connecting my bank. Since then it has been a nightmare with them. I haven’t been able to get an advance even though I paid it back ontime every other time I got one. This past week they actually STOLE money from me!! I checked my bank account app and noticed a $15 dollar withdraw for “Albert savings”. I checked the Albert app and there was nothing there. The customer service did nothing to help!!!
Works fine, but I haven’t recieved the $75 reward that was offered yet. Was supposed to happen within 60 days I thought and it’s closing in on that soon, so we’ll see. I also don’t like that it only shows your current balance, but not a progressive one that it shows the change of your balance with each transaction. I use something else for stocks and advice so I quickly canceled the Genius feature, so I can’t speak to that part of this app. Would rate higher if these 2 things are fixed.
app is fine, but customer service leaves A LOT to be desired! I’m out of town and my card is being declined. I’ve been waiting 30 minutes for the issue to be cleared up…this is an unnecessarily long time! if I had called a bank’s customer service, this would’ve been fixed in less than 5 minutes! albert needs another option for contacting customer service…because texting is not very effective.
This app is sneaky. It keeps trying to sell you ‘cheaper’ subscriptions of services and at times prompts for tips and other charges. They took money out of my account and I still don’t know for what. The charge says Albert Tip! Be careful what buttons you tap, there is no confirmation page or anything. Very shady, and ironically, not saving you money.
It keeps giving me the welcome back screen whenever I want to get on to check my balance. I have to close and reopen it multiple times just for something that should take ten seconds at most. It’s gotten to the point of being annoying seeing as I also pay for the Albert Genius subscription.
